The labor market is undergoing an accelerated transformation as a result of the automation and digitization of processes and activities. In this context, the Concordia Employers’ Confederation launches the Hope4AI project – Helping Organizations Prepare Employees for AI, an initiative co-funded by the European Union, which aims to prepare employees, employers and social partners for the changes generated by artificial intelligence and automation. The project brings together social partners from Romania and Hungary and aims to assess the impact of AI on jobs, identify the necessary skills and ensure a just transition to the future of work.
Hope4AI is built on the results of the previous WorkTransitionCEE programme, and for 22 months, the consortium created to bring together four representative social partners from Central and Eastern Europe (Concordia (RO), NBN (RO), MGYOSZ (HU), VASAS (HU), will join forces to continue research on labour market dynamics in Industry 4.0 and to support social partners through applied tools and methodologies – from mapping jobs to co-creating solutions. Through this continuity, the project brings a strengthened perspective on systemic adaptation, with a focus on digital skills and effective social dialogue.
The objectives of Hope4AI aim to increase the resilience of industries in the face of technological transformations, facilitate cooperation between trade unions and employers’ organisations, and broaden the understanding of decision-makers on the risks, challenges and opportunities generated by AI. The project will organise national seminars, validation workshops and co-creation events, involving social partners, authorities and labour experts to support the public policies needed for a just transition.
