Jobscape report. The impact of automation on the workforce in two industrial sectors in Hungary.

The Confederation of Hungarian Employers and Industrialists commissioned a study as part of an international collaboration, which examines the impact of the Industry 4.0 on the workforce in the automotive component manufacturing and machine manufacturing sectors. The research was carried out in cooperation with the MGYOSZ and the Iron Trade Union Association, under the leadership of the KOPINT-TÁRKI Institute for Economic Research.

The National Union of employers (NUE) commissioned a study as part of an international collaboration, which examines the impact of the Industry 4.0 o. The research was carried out in cooperation with the Independent Christian Unions of Slovakia (NKOS).

Jobscape report Romania. The impact of automation on the workforce in two industrial sectors.

Concordia Employers’ Confederation launches the research report on “The impact of technology on two sectors in Romania: Auto and Petrol & Gas”. The analysis was conducted by interviewing 109 managers from the two industries and 1,713 employees and revealed 96 occupations potentially at risk due to the digital revolution in the four participating companies.

Policy Recommendations in Hungary, Romania and Slovakia

Extensive research was undertaken under the WorkTransitionCEE project umbrella, to understand the impact of digitization and automation on different occupations and skills, the challenges, and opportunities for the labour market in RO, SK and HU. Based on the finding and extensive cooperation between national social partners and authorities, the project partners developed a series of policy recommendations for each country.

Video – What implications does digitization and automation have for employees in RO, SK and HU?

Digitization and automation are becoming an integrated part of our work. Therefore, education and training programs are essential to develop a set of skills that enable workers to adapt to new changes in the labor market. WorkTransitionCEE project brings together social partners from Hungary, Slovakia and Romania to research how new technologies are changing the labor market in several key sectors and what we can do to prepare for the new labor market. WorkTransitionCEE Project report

WorkTransitionCEE project was a significant initiative aimed at addressing the challenges and opportunities for the labour market associated with the impact of digitization and automation on different occupations and skills in Central and Eastern Europe. The consortium prepared a report presenting the main WorktranstionCEE deliverable and a project timeline with the events and reports prepared under the project umbrella.
